We had so much fun in June that we are going to have a Labor Day BDC Tournament.
Same place Prado Dog Park, Chino CA
Dates: Sept. 4th and 5th
Start time: 7 AM
Divisions: Top Gun Pointing, Top Gun Flushing, Pointing Puppies
Schedule: Top Gun Pointing Preliminaries Saturday the 4th, Finals Sunday the 5th, 3 dog per handler max.
Top Gun Flushing One run only on Sunday.
Pointing Puppies One run only on Sunday.
Cost: $125 per entry, plus $15/day for entry into the park
$30 to payout per entry per Division.
Camping available for $10/night
Lots of great prizes as we did last time.

The So. Cal. Tournament Hunters Club is scheduling a series of 3 California based tournaments and this is the first of three. These three tournaments will be run in conjunction with the Wild West Shootout and continue the Belt Buckle tradition started last year. These tournaments will follow the same format and WWS points will be tracked for all participants in the Top Gun Pointing Division. This series is sanctioned by the BDC, BDC points will be awarded and we will use BDC rules. Last year all 3 tournaments were BDC Majors.
The California Champion will be awarded a high quality belt buckle as a trophy.
To win the Belt Buckle you will need to have the highest number of WWS points for the Top Gun Pointing Division over the 3 tournaments in the series. The more tournaments you attend, the better your chances. You will be able to track your placement in www.wildwestshootout.com .

The Belt Buckle Trophy only applies to the Top Gun Pointing Division only and will be awarded after the third tournament is run and scored.

OK the announcement went out today and I already recieved 4 calls....
I don't think we'll fill upp (45 dogs is a lot of dogs) but we are on our way to another Major BDC event.

If you have not attended a tournament you owe it to yourself and your dog.

As far as Bourbonnais, so far we have:

4. Abby (Honorary Bourbonnaise)
5. Cody (unless she is pregnant at the time)
6. Fletcher

BJ is tentative depending on Dove season opener. We'd miss him, he is really up and coming right now. but tradition is tradition and it must be upheld.
