NAGDA Tournment at Prado June 27th 2010 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 1
The So. Cal. Tournament Hunter Club has been working with one of the NAGDA Board members and we are setting up a NAGDA Tournament on June 27th at Prado, 7 AM start.

Since this is probably the 1st of the NAGDA season you'll need to renew your membership or join if you are not a member. Membership forms will be available at the Tournament.
Sorry, this tournament is open only to NAGDA Members.

Please let me know which Division you plan to run in so we can get a count of interested parties. We currently have 12 runs spoken for in Open, Amateur and Puppies.

Yes, Flushers and Pointers are welcome.

I hope to see you there

It was a great day and a very good one for Fletcher and I.

4 BdBs competed in this fairly small event. We had put this one on as a last minute event to let some of the people that participated in the prior day's BDC event have the opportunity to try their hand at NAGDA.

The BdB did well, and Fletcher took 1st place in a field of 6 dogs in Open (Pros) and 1st (but unopposed) in Doubles. The Open run was a very fast run, 4'07", 3 birds clean (no errors).
The Doubles was run with team Mate Ryan and his GSP Kendall. Kendall and Fletcher have attended several of these events as competitors and usually one or the other comes in 1st and the other 2nd. So it was time to see if they would make a good team... What a team, it was great with Honors and back and excellent retrieve and awsome points. The got their required 6 birds in a little over 9mns.

Cody did well, beating Maya and Demi, the other 2 BdBs, in the Open Division. She is continuing to show improvements and I believe that by early next year she too will be an extremelly competitive BdB.

Maya was having a bad day and I think the heat was not helping.

Demi was doing well but a missed bird and double shot took her out of the running.
