Welcome to my website. 

My mission is 1) to promote the Braque du Bourbonnais (BdB) breed in the United States and to provide a forum for BdB companions to ask questions of other owners and exchange training information,  2) to make contact with BdB breeders, 3) to understand and promote the requirements of breeding outstanding hunting and home companions, 4) and to provide a gateway to NAVHDA and other training venues in order to promote testing and also to provide gateways to various hunt trials.

What this is not:  This is not a political forum for negative views on dogs, people, training, hunting, hunt trials, testing, conservation or the environment. These will be censored.  We will not track field tests or trials, nor will we classify dogs based on conformation or hunting ability.

Who we are:  My name is Claude, I am a 1st time BdB owner and trainer. I have had the pleasure of being the companion for Rufnit Fletcher and, together, we have had much fun in the fields and at home.

Since I have a French background, I am also able to converse with the French breeders and Fletcher has been shown on several of the French Web sites pages.

I am not a professional trainer but I have had experience with other dog breeds and also my brother’s BdB and I have been lucky to associate with several excellent trainers. I am not a professional breeder and I have had no experience in that field, and therefore I will rely on professionals to provide this kind of information both from the US and from France.

Why am I doing this?  For the love of the breed!
